La Granja de S. Ildefonso

The Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso is an 18th-century palace in the small town of San Ildefonso in the hills near Segovia, 80 km north of Madrid, formerly the summer residence of the Kings of Spain since the reign of Philip V.  It has been called "the Versailles of Spain". Around the palace, Philip V ordered the laying-out of a huge garden with fountains which was also inspired by Versailles. Thanks to it, the town is an important tourist site in the province of Segovia.

I didn't go in as you cannot take photos inside so I took a few outside and got yelled at for standing on the grass, so bite me, La Granja, and the State agency that maintains the palaces.  What harm in taking photos inside?  The grass, yes...sorry.
